We have reached a very exciting point in the journey towards a new build for our school. We would really like everyone to have a look at the new plans and make any comments that will help us to design the best school possible. Please go to the digital consultation website between 18 March and 8 April.
You can find more information about this process, and the new school building, here:
Safer Internet Day will be clebrate don 8th February 2022 with the theme "All fun and Games. Exploring respect and relationships online."
From gaming and chat, to streaming and video, young people are shaping the interactive entertainment spaces they are a part of. Safer Internet Day 2022 celebrates young people’s role in creating a safer internet, whether that is whilst gaming and creating content, or interacting with their friends and peers.
All year groups will be discussing how to stay safe online so please continue these chats at home.
On Friday 4th February we will be celebrating 'Number Day' in aid of the NSPCC. This amazing charity that does great work supporting children and young people. Everyone in our school will be asked to 'Dress up as Digits' and bring a £2 donation per child. However the donation amount is up to you and your family and can be paid online or bring the cash on the day. An email with a link to schoolmoney will be sent.
We look forward to seeing everyone dressed up - staff included. Attached are some photographs for inspration.
Every Year 1 pupil who started school this year is receiving a special book entitled ‘Our Wee Place.’ This book has been produced by the Northern Ireland Office and reflects on the experiences of growing up in Northern Ireland, drawing on cultural landmarks and traditions.
The book has been commissioned to mark the Centenary in 2021. It is an inclusive story that subtly touches on the ideas of resolving conflict and promoting understanding and tolerance.
We hope you enjoy reading it with your child!
In Year 7, the pupils vote for a House Captain and a Vice Captain for each of the different houses- Castle, Park, Pickie and Pier. These specailly elected pupils will represent their house during Sports Day and House Quizzes to gain points.
Congratulations to all those elected!
