This week we will be exploring the story of The Three Little Pigs and finding out more about different materials. You will find all the links needed for this week’s learning journey below (except for Wellbeing, this is in a separate Seesaw activity). Remember to try to complete two of the activities and send us your photos on Seesaw. Have fun! 😊

Literacy Skills

The Three Little Pigs is another traditional tale, just like The Gingerbread Man. There are many versions of this story as it has been around for a long time! In Year 1 we love to listen to stories and use role-play or puppets to retell the story in sequence. We also think about the characters, setting and events that take place at the beginning, the middle and the end of the story. You can listen to some different versions of the story below or maybe you have your own version at home you could read!

We use the story of The Three Little Pigs to introduce the theme of materials. You can find out more about different materials by watching the video below. Then you can watch Ted’s Emergency and see if you can help Bangor Central Bear! Finally there is a very different version of the story to listen to - what material words did you hear in the story?
