In September 1998 Bangor Central began its journey as the only integrated school in Bangor. In 2018 pupils, parents, staff and governors of Bangor Central Integrated Primary School celebrated 20 years of integrated education.
Past staff and pupils joined us for a special afternoon along with guests and members of our school community.
Some of our celebrations and events included:
-A special birthday assembly with a piece of cake for all our pupils.
-Birthday wishes and letters from some well known people
-An Integrated Drama called 'Weathering the Storm' written by Andrea Grimason (NICIE) to tell our transformation story.
-A wall mural collaborative project with staff and students from Strangford Integrated College.
-A t-shirt, designed by a past pupil Emily Osborne, was given to every pupil.
-A photo timeline display from transformation to present day.
-Messages for our integrated future were hung on a 'Wishing Tree' by pupils, staff and visitors.
