In our 'In the News' topic we learn all about the News. We read and explore local, national and international news stories. We learn about the history of the news and newspapers and how it has developed into what it is today, alongside, exploring all the different types of newspapers there are. 

We also learn what it is like to be reporter of a news story by watching News reports, learning how they gather and record information, and then we have the opportunity to write our own news reports.
