RNLI
RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institute)
Year 4 will learn the importance of safety at sea and on the beach. We will research the work of the RNLI and watch local and worldwide rescues at sea. We will look back in history to the Grace Darling story. We will enjoy a trip to the rockpools and investigate the sea life we find at Ballyholme. Questions we will ask include:-
- How can we stay safe at the beach, especially in the water?
- Who do we call if we need help when we are at sea?
- What would it be like to be in a lifeboat when it is launched?
- What animals will we find at the rockpools?
Parents as Partners- we will need keen volunteers to accompany us to Ballyholme rockpools.
