Bears

We are beginning this new term with some stories about bears. Everyone loves a teddy bear and we all have our own Central Bear who is very special to us.

Every day this week the Year 1 teachers will be reading a story on Seesaw about some special bears.

Our first story is called 'Everywhere Bear' which is about a class bear and written by one of our favourite authors, Julia Donaldson. We are using our Central Bear for this story. Have you got your bear? Good. We hope you enjoy the story being read to you by your class teacher.

Perhaps you would like to draw a bear? We have added a special link that takes you to a clip on how to draw bear all by yourself.

If you draw a bear, why not take a photograph of it and send it to us on Seesaw, we would love to see it.

Old Bear by Jane Hissey

Jane Hissey is an author and illustrator from England. This means that she writes the words and draws the pictures in her stories. Her stories are all about toys and a very special character called Old Bear. You can find out more about the characters in the Old Bear stories here:

Old Bear Stories - Little Bear Lost

Little Bear gets lost in this story - have you ever lost a toy? Maybe you could make a lost poster for Little Bear or one of your own toys!

We're going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen

This is one of our favourite stories and what a lovely way to end the week. Listen to the story and then maybe you could re-enact the story around your house, making all the sound effects as you climb the stairs, crawl under the table. we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
