Parental Involvement

At Bangor Central Integrated Primary School we believe that a supportive and positive partnership between home and school is key to the development of children. Parents are encouraged to play an active role in their child's education through attending relevant meetings including parent teacher interviews in October and March.

A written report is completed annually detailing each child's progress. Parents are communicated with regularly through newsletters, email, text messages and social media platforms. All parents are automatically members of the PTA and are encouraged to become involved in our family centred school. Parents can also be elected on to the Board of Governors who manage the school. Parents may be asked to assist with school trips and are often invited into school to share their expertise during class visits.

Bangor Central is a community. It encompasses staff and pupils, but also parents, grandparents, carers, friends and people in the local community.
