  • Internet Safety Day 2021

    Mon 08 Feb 2021

Today is Internet Safety Day. As a school we are responsible for the pupils safety whilst in school which also means when they are accessing their online learning using iPads, laptops and desktops. In an ever changing world and this year more than most, we need to be aware of how our young people are behaving on digital devices. So today we are focusing on safer internet use and being responsible while on the internet and especially when playing online games.

Please s click on the link below to find more information and resources to discuss with your children at home today. It’s important that everyone play their part in keeping children safe online and ensuring they know what to do if they find themselves in a situation that they do not like.

The focus for this month is ‘being friendly!’ Each day is given a new way to show friendliness. As we focus on our children’s mental health, we need to make sure that we check in with our own mental health. So why not try a few of these suggestions throughout February!
  • Big Bird Watch

    Fri 29 Jan 2021

This year the Big Bird Watch is between the 29th and 31st January. Normally we have the pleasure of Karen Shields, from the RSPB, come into school to help us conduct our Big Bird Watch. As a school, we are very fortunate to have to many trees and open spaces for all types of birds to visit. While you are at home, maybe you could still take part in this! Take a look in your garden, can you see any birds? Can you hear any birds? Click on this link to find out more:https://www.rspb.org.uk/fun-and-learning/for-teachers/schools-birdwatch/

As teachers, we are doing our very best to help continue our pupils education while they are at home. We are providing resources and online lessons through Seesaw. As parents, we are doing the very best to continue to support, encourage and keep our kids safe and well. Online learning is fun but we all must remember to be responsible and respect each other. Please take a look at how we can keep online learning safe and responsible.
