Welcome to
Bangor Central Integrated Primary School
On behalf of the governors, staff and pupils, it is a pleasure to welcome you to Bangor Central Integrated Primary School. We’re delighted to have the opportunity to give you an insight into life at our school.
Located in the heart of Bangor, our school enjoys close proximity to local parks, the swimming pool, North Down Heritage Centre, local businesses and public transport. We benefit from strong partnerships with neighbouring nurseries, playgroups, post-primary schools and the Further/Higher Education College.
As Bangor’s only Integrated primary school, we proudly offer a teaching and learning environment where all traditions and cultures are welcomed, respected and nurtured together. It is a wonderful place for children to spend seven formative years of their lives.
At Bangor Central, children always come first. They join a happy school where academic standards are high and where positive discipline, hard work and a love of learning are at the heart of everything we do.
Our school motto is:
“We care, we share, we achieve. We learn together.”
This reflects our ethos as a caring community made up of pupils, staff, parents and governors. We work together to create and celebrate opportunities for all our pupils, and we are very proud of our achievements over the years.
In September 2020, the Department of Education confirmed that we will be getting a new school building. This exciting development means we will be relocating to a new site on Balloo Road, hopefully by 2027. You can follow progress on the new school building via the 'About Us' section of our website. While Bangor Central is on the move, our commitment to learning together remains central.
There is always something exciting happening at our school. Whether you are a current pupil, a parent, or a prospective parent, we hope you enjoy discovering what makes Bangor Central Integrated Primary School so special.
We warmly invite you to visit us and experience firsthand the ethos and atmosphere of our wonderful school.
Kind regards,
Richard Lawther BEd. Hons PQHNI
