Celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee at Central

At Central we celebrated the historic platinum jubilee with dressing up, dancing, singing and eating cakes. Mr Campbell talked to all the boys and girls in Assembly about the life of Queen Elizabeth and how much she has done for the country and the Commonwealth. We even had dance lessons in the playground! As a school we wanted to say a huge thank you to all our parents, staff and the wider community for everything over the last few years, especially during Covid. Every pupil in the school was given a piece of coloured material to write a special 'thank you' message to someone that has worked so hard during this time. Mrs Northey then weaved the material into a raindow to be displayed during our Jubilee afternoon. Parent and family members were invited to come us for some light refreshemnts and take part in some 'selfies' with the Queen. Everyone had a wonderful time and it marked an end to a fabulous few days of celebration!
