• The Powerpoint that was never seen- so many memories

  Unfortunately the projector in the hall decided to give up for our Year 7 leavers' assembly. Here are the emotional best bits- the photographs of the younger years. A special dedication to Jamie McCallum who unfortunately could not be with his class mates on the day. He will always be with us as we sit on the friendship bench and remember the good times. These little faces have made us all so proud at Bangor Central. Good luck for the future!

  

• Year 7 Leaver's Assembly

  Congratulations to all those pupils who won an award this afternoon and to all the Year 7 pupils for receiving their Record of Achievements. Many thanks to the principal of Stangford College, Mrs Foster, who presented the pupils with their awards and with her foundation plans for a new school in hand, she spoke to the leaving pupils about their new beginnings and bright futures ahead of them.

  

• Year 7 Buddy Assembly

  Today we thanked our Year 7 buddies for all their hard work and commitment, for making the playground a happier and more enjoyable place to be for the younger children. Each buddy was presented with a certificate and a medal from the PTA and the supervisory assistants chose a buddy of the year who was presented with a trophy. Congratulations to everyone! 

  

• Staff v Pupils charity netball match

  Well done to all the players who battled through the rain to play a charity netball match in aid of the Mary Peters Foundation. All pupils arrived to school in sports gear and watch as the teachers won the netball match. Through the rain the netball team gave their best and the teachers were great sports. 

  

• PTA Summer Fair

  Today was our annual PTA Summer Fair. The 'unlimited' ticket for £5 was a hit and everyone had a ball. Even the light rain didn't wash off the make- up and hair dye. Huge thanks to all the parent volunteers who gave up their Friday afternoon to make this event such a success. Well done to the PTA for organising the day and to all the outside caterers and sugar filled stalls. 

  

• Year 7 and Young Enterprise

  On Friday 7th June 2019 our Year 7 pupils participated in a Young Enterprise NI Trade Fair in Bloomfield Shopping Centre. The pupils had created their own designs on tiles to sell as coasters or decorative displays. The pupils had developed their sales skills, finanical management, built communication skills and presentation skills through marketing their products. 

  The tiles were sold and raised £151. Great success. More tiles will be sold during the school fair

  

• PTA Summer Fair

  Save the date- Friday 14th June is the date for our annual PTA Summer Fair. This year the PTA have devised a ticket system to make things easier as they bring back game stalls and activities for all ages to enjoy. We would love to see everyone join in with the fun and games to support our PTA raising funds for our school. 

  

• BCIPS winners of NI Primary Schools' Netball Championship

  After an intense afternoon BCIPS netball team won the final against Methody College Belfast 9-3!!! A well deserved win by a team of skilled pupils who gave their all in every single match this afternoon. 

  

• NI Primary Schools' Netball Championship

  Today BCIPS are hosting the NI Primary Schools' Netball Championship in Lisburn. Teams from across the Education Authorities are competing in the finals. Well done to all the girls, coaches, teachers and parents who have supported their journey to make it today.
