  • Community Christmas Carol Service

    Thu 18 Dec 2025

On Tuesday 16th December, our friends and family were invited to City Church for our annual Carol Service. We listened to some wonderful singing from each year group, violinists playing Christmas Carols and Year 7 pupils delivering readings from the Bible. It was such a lovely evening and thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. From all the staff at BCIPS, we would like to wish those who celebrate Christmas, a happy, peaceful time. And for those who did not celebrate at this time of year, we wish you a peaceful break with your nearest and dearest.

  • Year 5 Stevenson Intergenerational Nursing Home Visit

    Fri 05 Dec 2025

As part of our Intergenerational projects Year 5S decided to make wooden Christmas decorations and Christmas cards for the residents of Abbey View Nursing Home. We walked through Castle Park and delivered them wishing their staff and community a Merry Christmas from all at BCIPS 🎄.
Thank you so much to the residents and staff of Abbey View Care Home for making our visit very special and memorable. We got to talk and listen with the residents about their care home and learn how to do sign language. The residents were interested in our school and we loved sharing our stories. We decorated their Christmas tree 🌲 with our decorations. We sang to them 🎵  wishing them all a merry Christmas. We even got to decorate their window with paint pens 🖊️ . They were very kind and gave us chocolate selection boxes and our very own Christmas bauble with our school name on.
We are very much looking forward to our next visit in the new year.

  • Year 5 Firefighter Visit

    Tue 02 Dec 2025

Year 5 had a very exciting visit from The Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service today for a very important safety session. The team shared practical advice on how to stay safe from fires at home, including key tips for prevention and what to do in an emergency. We learnt about the valuable importance of having a smoke alarm that it saves lives. Tonight we will “Test it on Tuesday” . We had a sneaky look in the fire engine and learnt what tools are used in whixh emergency. Thank you to the team for their time today.

  • Netball Holywood Tournament

    Mon 01 Dec 2025

No rest for our netballers on a Sunday afternoon! 💪🏐

Both of our squads were out in full force at the Holywood Netball Tournament today, competing against two Holywood club teams and two Clann Eireann teams. Our A team showed fantastic determination, making it all the way to the final and narrowly missing out to finish as runners-up.

A huge thank you to Holywood Netball Club for the invitation. Our players thoroughly enjoyed the experience and appreciated the opportunity to strengthen their match play on a full-size court.

Well done to everyone involved - we’re so proud of you! 🌟

💙💚 If you’d like to find out more about the fantastic opportunities available at Bangor Central (and see our brilliant netballers in action!), visit our Open Day on Wednesday 3rd December. Sessions at 9.15am and 1.15pm.
