  • Year 3 Chinese New Year Assembly

    All Year 3 pupils took part in their Chinese New Year Assembly. They dressed in oriental clothed, had masks and retold the story of the Chinese New Year calendar. There was singing, dancing, and a drama and even a Chinese dragon. We had visitors from Bangor Central Nursery School who all enjoyed the performance. 
  • The Great BCIPS Bake Day

    Pupils took part in our version of The Great Bristish Bake Day. Cakes, buns, tray bakes were brought into school and each person taking part was awarded house points. The entries were amazing with a lot of effort on behalf on many families from our school. On Thursday and Friday the delicious food was sold for donations and £1075 was raised. Thank you kindly and Well done to everyone! 
  • RSPB Big Bird Watch

    The whole school took park in the RSPB Big Bird Watch today led by Karen Sheils helped by volunteers from our Eco Team. Our school has excellent surroundings that attract a variety of species of birds which Karen was able to

    identify and name for the pupils. 

  • Year 3 Nativity

    Year 3 performed their Nativity service for Bangor Central Nursery School pupils. It was fantastic! The boys and girls have worked hard on their performance and all children were singing their hearts out! To see the full service please join us on Friday 13th December at 9.30am in First Bangor. 
  • Open Day for new parents

    If you were unable to make our Open Day on Tuesday 3rd December, please feel free to make an appointment at the office to come and have a look around our school. We had some exciting activities including a Scarecrow's Wedding and a showcasing of our Netball team skills, music talents and ICT skills.

  • Children in Need

    Thank you to all the pupils and staff who participated in Children in Need today. We welcomed Pudsey to our school and raised £432 with our donations. 
  • Anti-bullying week

    This week our pupils have been looking at different ways to be kind, caring and considerate towards each other and what behaviour is acceptable and how to deal what behaviour that may upset them. In Year 1 we read  Julia Donaldson's 'The Smeds and the Smoos' which has two alien families not allowing the younger aliens to play together because they are different. In Year 3 the children were discovering how different and unique each person is, and that is ok to be different. As a treat the children in Year 3 were all given ice-cream from Nugelato in Bangor.
  • Presentation of Silver Poppies

    Some of our pupils were asked to assist the Lord Mayor in presenting war veterans with silver poppies at the Town Hall during a special celebration.
  • Outdoor Classroom Day

    Today is Outdoor Classroom Day which is a global campaign to get children outdoors to learn and play. Many of our year groups took advantage of this to venture outdoors, even in the rain.
