Today we had the pleasure of listening to a String Concert performed by the SEELB Music Centre. Staff and children from Year 1 to Year 7 were entertained by instruments including violins, viola, cello and double bass.
All children love to come to school especially at night and in their pjs with their favourite teddy. All childrenhad a great time listening to stories read by staff and members from the PTA. A great but wet night.
Today all the children in our school are celebrating European Language day. The pupils were exploring the different languages and cultures from around the world and created banners and flags to represent the different countries. Many of our pupils were given an opportunity to speak French with the aid of the teachers and helpers from the French Club.
Many of the Year 7 pupils have played an important role in our school this year as Buddies in the playground. Today all their hard work and dedication is being celebrating in a special school assembly where the buddies are presented with certificates and medal from the PTA. Well done to all the pupils and parents who have made a valuable contribution to our school. Thank you.
On Saturday 25th May some pupils and their parents got involved in an afternoon of family fun seed planting at Queen's parade in Bangor. They worked with Conservation Volunteers NI to help to prepare the soil, test its pH, and plant wildflower seeds. We are all looking forward to seeing these grow!
As we are in the final term of this year, many children are growing out of their current uniforms or needing extra pieces. The PTA are holding their popular PopUp uniform shop in the Canteen on Thursday morning and after school. Come along and avail of the good quality second hand items that your child may need to see them looking smart until June.
The children of Bangor Central Integrated Primary School are delighted with the floral display outside Bangor's Post Office. The display is part of the school's celebration of the first international Integrated Schools Week. The theme for this year is "Me, We and the World." Some of the children were chosen to fly flags to depict the many nationalities that are reflected in our school's population
